Beloved husband, Daddy, brother, uncle, and Friend. Henry loved his family, friends, and church but
most of all, he loved the Lord. Married to Annie Louise Battle, they had nine children. Born in
Smyra Tennessee to Henry and Ruby, he served his county in the Army durning WWII. Henry loved music
and used to play the guiter and sing. He gave his life to the Lord and went on to be come a
preacher. It was often said that he loved the church more than he loved his family, but we now
realize that this was just his way of showing us how much he loved us and the Lord. He was always
the friend that would come running at the drop of a hat, no matter what time day or night. Henry
loved to eat and banana pudding or coconut cake were his two favorite desserts. On the day of his
death, the angels were singing welcome home in heaven and his youngest daughter sang welcome to
heaven my child at his bed side as he was meeting the Lord. We all love and miss him dearly, but we
also know we will see him again someday. You too can have the assurance of seeing him if you are
born again. If you have not received the Lord as your personal Savior, then I know Henry would want
you to read John 3:16, and then pray for God to accept you as His child. Until we wake up to sleep
no more, we miss you Daddy. I will see you on the other side.
There are days like today that I wished I was there with you. Sometimes I don't know how much I can handle. Daddy, please somehow tell me it's going to be ok. Oh how I wished I could talk to you.
Missing You
Daddy there are some days that everything I see, do or hear reminds me of you. Some of the things give me great joy and remembrance of you, others only make me miss you more. Not long ago Bro Fowler preached at our church and spoke of his love for you and the entire family. He shared with the church you telling his church members they stole your pastor. he also told how he loved to hear the family sing. Sally is in heaven with you, he misses her very much. Some days I feel as if it won't be long till I will join you. I can hardly wait for I know it is such a wonderful place with no pain or heartache. I love you so much, your daughter .
Memorial Day passed and that is a time you are suppose to remember the ones who have passed away. I didn't want to write anything on that day because I think of you almost everyday. Just doesn't seem that you have been gone 15 years. Seem like it was just yesterday. Miss you and love you daddy.

Hey Daddy
It has rained here all week long and somehow it made me think of you. I wished I could get just a glimps of you in Heaven. I know you have made your way around seeing all the loved ones that have past away and those who you loved to hear sing. Talking about a choir.... with George,Glen& Jake just to name a few. Wow it must be great. As you know mom is doing well. She loves her place. Love you and miss you
Vicki
Birthday Greetings
On this day in 1960, for your birthday, you had a terrible tooth ache and had to have your tooth pulled. But also on this day in 1960 you had the joy of the birth of a beautiful daughter; number 7 of the nine children you and mom brought into this world. You always enjoyed the special attention you received for your birthdays, father's day and especially Christmas. I know since you left this world and went home to be with Jeus, each day has been special for you, far greater than any attention you ever received here on earth. I hope the angels are singing happy birthday to you today. I love and miss you. Shirley
Happy Birthday
Daddy
Happy Birthday, I really wished you could be here, but then again you wouldn't want to be. I know you are better off in Heaven.
I love and miss you very much.
Love,
Vicki
Daddy
It's been another long day. Jennifer just got in from college and now she is on her way to pick mom up. I was sitting out on my swing in my back yard watching the dogs play and next thing you know there was a flock of birds coming by. Of course you were the first thing I thought of. I remember sitting at the nursing home with you outside watching the birds and squirrels play. You also did like it outside watching things. You'd have a blast now just watching people. Well I need to get some housework done, tell Grandma & Grandpa I love them and miss them. Get Grandpa's neck for me.... Miss you!
Love,
Vicki
